Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this K-Source replacement side view mirror. This is going to be a direct replacement for the driver's side factory mirror on your 2008 and newer Chevrolet Express van or the GMC Savana van. This is modeled after the Express and Savannah's original look and fit. So you really shouldn't be able to tell that it's a replacement mirror. It should look like it came with your van right from the factory.

So no worries about the "pieced together from the junkyard" sort of look. This is all going to be modeled after that original mirror so it's going to be fully integrated, give you that complete finish again. It is gonna be very easy to get installed. It's got the same footprint and mounting points as the factory mirror. So the mirror will plug into your existing electrical wiring and then just bolt down.

They've got the nuts included so that you can get that firmly adhered and fixed to your vehicle. It does have the power remote capability so you can adjust the mirror face positions with the factory power controls inside your vehicle. It's also got the heated mirror glass so it's gonna help clear your frost and ice and reduce fogging. Keep in mind the power remote capability and the heated mirror glass will only work if your vehicle already has those functions. It won't add those capabilities to a vehicle that didn't have that capability already.

And just wanna point out that this mirror does not have a turn signal. So if your original did have a turn signal you might have a little bit less functionality with this. But overall it is gonna do a great job of replacing that original. So this is an OE grade quality. It is gonna have the front of the glass plated with a reflective chrome.

So it's gonna give you a nice, clear image. It's got a flat lens like most driver side mirrors to give you a true representation of the object's size behind you. And it does have this built-in spotter mirror to help minimize your blind spots. It's also got a breakaway design so it's going to fold in on itself. If you we're to hit a parking post or the side of a garage or something like that. It's going to fold in to help absorb some of that impact and to deter breakage of the housing. But it is a nice durable plastic housing with a black finish on it. For those of you who do need a little bit more reassurance that this is going to work for your vehicle, you can see the original equipment number on the screen there. So if you're going through your owner's manual or when you take off your original mirror if you see that number anywhere you can trust this is gonna be the replacement that you need.
